Last month our partner Plugin Boutique had great synthesizer offers and the Producer Suite from Vengeance Sound (VPS Avenger for short ) was also there! We took a closer look at the virtual synthesizer VPS Avenger in a short test report... Is this the new synthesizer insider tip?
Vengeance Producer Suite Avenger at a glance
All-in-one and ready to use
As early as 2009, Manuel Schleiss developed the Vengeance Producer Suite for Vengeance sound in collaboration with Keilwerth Audio, but this synthesizer sounds anything but old. The Producer Suite Avenger is pre-equipped with numerous modern sound presets and can be played almost immediately after installation. The 1000 factory presets have it all, because there is really something for everyone, from arps, basses, bells, keys, pads, to drums. No matter whether you want to craft your own sounds or are more of a preset type - with this synth all possibilities are open to you!
Evil tongues would claim that the producer suite Avenger is only suitable for genres such as EDM, house, techno, trance and dubstep, but there are really no limits to your creativity. Producers of hip hop, Afrobeat and even pop music can't get enough of the Producer Suite because the pre-installed sounds are modern and very versatile.
Here is an overview of the included Factory Library sound presets:
- Piano & Keys
Many expansion packs such as Funky House 2 or Slap House with additional sound libraries are available online, allowing the synthesizer to be continuously expanded with additional presets. So if you don't feel like creating new sounds manually, you can simply install one of the expansion packs.
Synthesizers on steroids
The Producer Suite Avenger is a full-fledged synthesizer that can easily compete with other well-known virtual instruments like Serum or DUNE 3 - it's not just a simple ROMpler. Quite the opposite! Here is a list of the features and functions you have with the VPS Avenger :
- Over 1000 Oscillator Shapes
- More than 600 multi-samples
- Over 500 wavetables
- More than 160 drum kits
- FX, LFOs & Filters
- Drum sequencer

Conclusion - Is VPS Avenger worth its price?
Not only me, but also the team around MPW is excited about the VPS Avenger , but also a bit intimidated, because this synthesizer is full of self-confidence. The extensive UI (user interface) and the numerous functions can be a bit overwhelming at first, but in my opinion all the important functions and especially the preset search are very easy to access. So if you want to avoid all the bells and whistles, you'll have fun with the included presets. Tweaking sounds later, automating macros and controls and tinkering around is still possible!
Simon Köhnen (Prinz Studios Hamburg and owner of TasTutor):
"I like this thing and it's really extensive. And if I just need a preset, I can find something straight away."
Avo (EDM producer and audio engineer):
"Of course I've heard of this synthesizer! This synth can do more than some people believe."
